NHL Future Watch: Wade Allison Hockey Cards, Philadelphia FlyersNHL Future Watch: Wade Allison Hockey Cards, Philadelphia FlyersWade Allison was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers with the 52nd overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft. Allison is a meat and potatoes player who has long hair and sticks up for his teammates.

Allison started to get noticed in 2014-15 while playing for the Tri-City Storm in the USHL. The right wing scored 13 points in 35 games and got seven games of playoff experience as well.

In 2015-16, he was back in the USHL. His offense exploded with 25 goals and 22 assists in 56 games. In the playoffs, he had nine goals and seven assists in just 11 games. He reported to Western Michigan University, good hockey school, in 2016-17. As a freshman, he had 29 points in 36 games. In 2017-18, Allison had 15 goals and 15 assists in 22 games. Injuries would start to plague him. The next season, he had 15 points in just 22 games. Allison needed to stay healthy in the worst way.

In 2019-20, his senior year, he was wearing the “A” for the second time. Again, he couldn’t play a full season but was productive. He had ten goals and 13 assists in 26 games. In 2020-21, Allison was in the AHL with the Phantoms and the NHL. He had nine points in ten AHL games. The Flyers called him up and he played in 14 games. His four points and three assists were a pretty good start.

In 2021-22, Allison had to prove himself. He played in 28 AHL games where he scored ten goals and had seven helpers. As much as the Flyers wanted him to play with them, health was the issue, and he ended up only playing one NHL game that season.

In 2022-23, Allison is healthy, had a great camp, and could make the team. Time will tell but his chances are very good. When healthy, he’s a guaranteed NHLer.

His best card is the 2021-22 Upper Deck Young Guns Rookie. He is wearing his black jersey in line rushes.

A bigger swing might be Allison’s 2021-22 Upper Deck Black Diamond Emerald Rookie. His long hair is showing, and this version is numbered to just 10.

Another fun card is his 2021-22 Upper Deck Artifacts Rookie. These cards are serial-numbered, and it has a dual jersey cut. The black means he likely wore this jersey for a Saturday game.
