NHL Future Watch: Will Smith Hockey Cards, San Jose Sharks NHL Future Watch: Will Smith Hockey Cards, San Jose Sharks – The San Jose Sharks drafted Will Smith with the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. This speedy forward has star potential and he was on a path that would see him play in the NHL sooner than most prospects.

2021-22 was his first season with the NTDP, the U17 team, and the U18 team. He scored 31 goals with 33 assists in 63 games. Smith shined in the U18s representing Team USA scoring four points in four games and taking home a silver medal.

In 2022-23, he had a banner year with the U18 team. Smith had 51 goals and 76 assists. That 127-point season was the second-highest single-season total in NTDP history. During the season, he played for Team USA in the World Juniors and had 20 points in seven games. He was voted best forward, and he won a gold medal. This was an amazing season for him in his draft year.

In 2023-24, he attended Boston College as a true freshman. In 41 games, he had 25 goals and 71 points in a breakout season. During that season, he played in the U20 World Juniors and won another gold medal. He scored nine points in seven games. When that season ended, he represented Team USA in the World Championships. His college awards list was lengthy. He was an All-American and a Hobey Baker Award Finalist.

In 2024-25, Smith entered the NHL. The season started slow but in his first 48 games, he had eight goals and 14 assists. He gets to play with Macklin Celebrini who is likely to be a Calder Trophy Finalist this year. Smith is a must-collect and is likely to be a star player by next season.

The first card to get is Smith’s 2024-25 Upper Deck Black Diamond Exquisite Collection rookie. The card is serial numbered to 99 and shows him pointing his stick at the camera at the Rookie Photo Premiere.

The next card to get is the 2024-25 Upper Deck Black Diamond Autograph. This card is numbered to just 25. It’s short-printed and it has a nice, clear signature.

The last card to get is his 2024-25 Upper Deck Synergy Rookie. The card looks great, and Smith has the classic Sharks sweater on.
