NHLPA Details 2020-21 Upper Deck Rookie Card Eligible Player List – The NHL work-stoppage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a unique situation when it comes to rookie eligibility for the 2020-21 NHL season. Now, the NHLPA has provided clear guidelines to NHL trading card licensee, Upper Deck, with regards to hockey cards for the upcoming season.
Current NHL players eligible to be included on checklists for 2020-21 products are those who have been rostered by their respective organization in the NHL Bubble, but have yet to skate in an NHL game. In addition, Upper Deck is hoping to get an exception for number one overall pick, Alexis Lafreniere to be able to appear on 2020-21 Upper Deck Series 1 Young Guns checklist, but that is still TBD.
