Conor Garland: Right Wing – Arizona Coyotes

Conor Garland was born in Scituate, Massachusetts in 1996. He played high school hockey for Shattuck-Saint Mary’s, a boarding school in Faribault, Minnesota. He also played for the Boston Junior Bruins in the EmJHL, the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL and the Moncton Wildcats in the QMJHL. During the 2014-15 season, while playing for Moncton, Garland led both the QMJHL and the CHL with 129 points. He was named to the QMJHL First All-Star Team. He also won the Michel Briere Memorial Trophy as the QMJHL Most Valuable Player.

At the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Conor Garland was selected with the 123rd overall pick by the Arizona Coyotes. He signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Coyotes on December 24th, 2015. He joined Arizona’s AHL affiliate: the Tucson Roadrunners and recorded his first professional goal on December 2nd, 2016 against the San Diego Gulls.

Garland made his NHL debut on December 8th, 2108 in a 5-3 loss to the San Jose Sharks. He finished his first season in the NHL with 18 points (13 goals, five assists) in 47 games. In 33 games this season, he already has 17 points (12 goals, five assists).
