Off The Post: Isaac Ratcliffe Hockey Cards, Philadelphia Flyers – Selected in the second-round (35th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, Isaac Ratcliffe was a highly projectable, yet raw prospect when the Flyers selected him. Now, five years later, Ratcliffe has emerged into an intriguing young player who could be a part of the Flyers future.
Standing at an imposing 6-foot-6 and 200 pounds, Ratcliffe possesses the frame scouts covet, but still has room to grow physically and in his overall game. Since being drafted, Ratcliffe has spent time with the Guelph Storm of the OHL and the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
During his time with the Storm, Ratcliffe displayed the ability to put the puck in the net, as he recorded 119 goals (204 total points) from the 2016-17 – 2018-19 seasons. However, that scoring success didn’t translate from the OHL to the AHL. In his two years and 108 games with the Phantoms, Ratcliffe netted only 13 goals (36 total points).
Despite his still developing game, the Flyers have struggled this season and recalled Ratcliffe earlier this month. So far, Ratcliffe has played in only seven games, but the return has been solid as he’s generated a goal and three assists.
In this clip, captured by our own Russ Cohen, Ratcliffe talked about his first NHL goal in the Flyers’ 6-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on February 9th. The goal will be one Ratcliffe remembers forever, especially with the odd circumstances that surrounded it. Ratcliffe didn’t know it was his goal until a period later, but the good news is he was able to secure the puck he scored as a priceless keepsake.

At this time, Ratcliffe doesn’t have an official NHL rookie card. However, he has CHL and AHL cards produced by Upper Deck from the 2017-18 – 2019-20 seasons.
For Flyers’ fans and/or hockey card collectors who want to get a card of Ratcliffe on the secondary market, one to get at this time is his 2019-20 Upper Deck AHL base card.
