Off The Post: Nick Suzuki Hockey Cards, Montreal Canadiens – In the latest edition of Off The Post, young forward Nick Suzuki of the Montreal Canadiens chats with our Russ Cohen!

Suzuki is in the midst of his second season of NHL hockey. Through 13 games this year, the London, ON native has compiled 12, including three goals and nine assists. This comes on the heels of a terrific rookie season which saw Suzuki count 41 points in 71 games.

Suzuki was originally drafted by the Vegas Golden Knights with the 13th overall selection in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. The lofty selection came on the heels of a 96-points in 65 regular season with the Owen Sound Attack of the OHL. Rather than being rushed to the big league, however, Suzuki stayed with Owen Sound for the 2017-18 season and racked up 100 points (including 42 goals) in 64 games. Following postseason play, Suzuki also got his first taste of pro hockey in a single-game performance with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves.

Before he could suit up, any further within the Golden Knights system, however, Suzuki was traded alongside Tomas Tatar to the Canadiens in exchange for Max Pacioretty. Suzuki has shown that the move was a wise one by Canadiens brass, as the youngster is blossoming into a strong force for the Habs. Suzuki’s game was allowed to further develop in the juniors, however, first with Owen Sound and, following a trade, the Guelph Storm. His combined 94 points over 59 games was all that Montreal needed to see, and he has been solidly playing at the NHL level ever since.

Nick Suzuki cards are readily available in a variety of sets, among which is the first wave of 2020-21 Upper Deck Overtime.
