Off the Post: Penguins Pull Into First Place on Wednesday, Conor Sheary and Sidney Crosby Post Game Comments – The race for first place in the NHL’s Metropolitan division is coming down to the wire. Three points separate the the Penguins, Capitals and Flyers. The Penguins vaulted into first place with a commanding 5-2 win against the Flyers on Wednesday evening. Sidney Crosby and Conor Sheary were awarded the top two stars of the game. Sheary ended a scoreless streak, chipping in two goals while Crosby finished with three assists. They both spoke with Russ Cohen after the game.

Sheary made his NHL debut in 2015. He has been an integral part of Pittsburgh’s last two Stanley Cup championship wins. The Penguins signed him to a three year contract this last summer, so there’s a good chance he sticks around for more playoff runs.
