Off the Post: Rangers Fall to Flyers 5-0 in Season Finale, Henrik Lundqvist Post Game Comments – The New York Rangers finished their season on Saturday evening with a tough loss in Philadelphia. The Flyers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first period, and after the horn it was anybody’s game. Philly piled on three goals in the second, and another in the third to win 5-0. Rangers Goalie Henrik Lundqvist chatted with Russ Cohen after the crushing loss and end to the season.

Lundqvist has been ever present in net for New York since the 2005 season. He made his debut on October 8th, 2005. He would earn his first win a few days later on October 13th. His first shutout came in his rookie season when he held the Panthers scoreless on October 17th, 2005. He would finish that season as a finalist for the Vezina Trophy. You’ll find his rookie cards among many 2005-06 Upper Deck Hockey Products including his Young Guns rookie card in Upper Deck Hockey.

For the next few years, Lundqvist earned himself the nickname “King Henrik” for his spectacular athletic ability and work ethic. His play over his rookie contract earned him multiple extensions and team MVP awards. He was the first Rangers player to earn the team MVP award five consecutive times. On December 4th, 2013, Lundqvist signed a seven-year contract extension with New York. He appears in many 2017-18 Upper Deck Hockey Products including Series 2, O-Pee-Chee, Artifacts and Trilogy to name a few.
