Panini and Premier League Sign Exclusive Licensing AgreementPanini and Premier League Sign Exclusive Licensing Agreement – Officials at Panini America and the English Premiere League, have confirmed reaching an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement. The deal covers retail and promotional products, both physical and digital.

Panini’s UK division announced that they will become the official stickers and trading cards licensee of the Premier League starting with the 2019-20 season.

Speaking to Toy World Magazine, Peter Warsop, Panini Group licensing director, was quoted as saying “The coming together of Panini and the Premier League is wonderful news for the global collectibles market. Panini’s international reach for both retail and promotional collectibles provides the perfect platform to grow the business.”

Elaborating further, Mike Riddell, managing director of Panini UK, added: “This is a game-changer for the UK market. The Premier League is the strongest league in the world and our challenge is to restore the UK football collectibles market to number one.”

In a comment from Richard Masters, managing director, Premier League, said, “Panini has an excellent reputation for producing high quality and popular collectible football stickers and trading cards that are popular with fans across the world. We look forward to working with it from season 2019-20 onwards.”

The Topps Company, which has held the license for several years, will continue to produce trading cards for the 2018-19 season.
