Panini Redemption Report – 2-01-21 – Full Sports Slate! – This week’s report from Panini America has 10 pages of redemption news! It features redemptions from across the landscape – Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Racing and Soccer – with cards coming back from as far back as 2010!
We’re starting this week with Baseball and Yordan Alvarez. The Astros hot riser has returned signatures from 2020 Absolute, 2020 Donruss Optic, 2020 Immaculate Collection and 2020 Prizm across a wide variety of insert programs.
Next up is Basketball, where the fulfillment surrounding out-standing Kobe Bryant cards continues. This week, cards from 2015-16 Immaculate, 2017-18 Donruss Optic, 2017-18 Essentials, 2017-18 Mosaic, 2018-19 Cornerstones, 2018-19 Contenders Optic, 2018-19 Crown Royale, 2018-19 Encased, 2018-19 Impeccable Lakers, 2018-19 Prizm, 2018-19 Status, 2019-20 Donruss, 2019-20 Origins and 2019-20 Prizm, were managed. These weren’t the only roundball cards that were in the report, as Luka Doncic sent in cards from 2018-19 Chronicles.
Next up is Football, and A.J. Brown is leading the way here. The young Tennessee Titans WR came through in a big way with cards from eight 2019 products, including Absolute, Illusions and others. Brown wasn’t the only return of note, as CeeDee Lamb came through with signatures from 2020 Immaculate Collection. Also part of the returners this week were Orlando Pace and the Super Bowl bound Rob Gronkowski among others.
Now, for the first time in quite some time, we’re going to talk Hockey. Cards were resolved from Panini’s last campaign with the NHL, including cards from Alexander Burmistrov from way back in 2010-11. Legends also have been addressed, including Alex Delvecchio and Adam Oates.
Shifting gears to Racing, a variety of big names came through. Kurt Busch, Denny Hamlin, Jimmy Johnson and Kevin Harvick were among the returnees, with cards coming in from a wide range of products, the most recent of which was 2020 Donruss. Other sets include 2017 Torque, 2018 Certified and 2019 Prime among others.
Finally, in Soccer, 2020 Impeccable, one of the hottest sets of the EPL season, saw returns from Danny Walbeck and Rhian Brewester.
