Panini Redemption Report – July 13th, 2020 – Past and Present Check In! – This week’s report from Panini America is 14 pages long! It features Baseball, Basketball and Football redemptions from products dating back to 2012.
Basketball includes returns from generational Superstar Zion Williamson. The sensational phenom returned signed cards from 15 total inserts, including seven from 2019-20 Panini Court Kings Basketball and eight from 2019-20 Panini Noir Basketball. Current players also returning were LaMarcus Aldridge, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Keldon Johnson.
From retired Basketball legends, The estate of all-time great Kobe Bryant returned a large number of cards. The oldest among these were from 2012-13 Panini Momentum Basketball, while more recent series include 2017-18 Totally Certified Basketball, 2017-18 Panini Court Kings Basketball, 2017-18 and 2018-19 Panini Absolute Memorabilia Basketball, 2019-20 Panini Contenders Basketball and others. Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Kevin McHale, meanwhile, returned cards from five inserts in 2019-20 Panini Select Basketball.
From the Gridiron, future Canton inductee Drew Brees returned autographs from 2019 National Treasures Football. In total, 10 inserts are being fulfilled from the New Orleans Saints active legend, including Material Signatures Laundry Tag NFL Shield, Personalized Treasures Platinum and All-Pro Signatures. Also checking in from the NFL’s current players were Rob Gronkowski, David Montgomery, Drew Lock and Hunter Renfrow.
Legendary Football players also fulfilled their autographs. FOX broadcaster and Hall of Famer Troy Aikman returned autographs from 2019 Panini Plates and Patches Football while Canton honoree and Detroit Lions hero Barry Sanders returned signatures from 2019 Panini Contenders Optic Football. Others include Jason Witten and Orlando Pace.
Baseball saw returns from four players, highlighted by Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson, fulfilling 2019 National Treasures Baseball Treasured Signatures cards. Also coming in were young stars Kyle Tucker, Nick Senzel and Jordan Hicks.
