Racing Future Watch: Isack Hadjar F1 Cards, Red Bull – Isack Hadjar is a top up-and-coming formula racer of French and Algerian heritage. He is thrilling fans in both countries with the ascent of his career. The recipient of the Aramco Best Performance Award in Formula 2 in 2024, Hadjar has a foothold in the big time as a reserve driver for Red Bull in Formula 1.
Born in Paris, Hadjar broke into the European karting circuit in 2015, competing in national championships his first two years. The 2019 French F4 Championship served as Hadjar’s initial foray into single-seater competition. There he achieved a victory and placed seventh in the final standings. Hadjar ascended into third place the following year.
Hadjar continued to advance in 2021, moving up to the Formula Regional European Championship, placing 5th. He joined the F3 Asian Championship and finished 6th. 2022 was a similar year of advancement. Hadjar took home 3rd in the Formula Regional Asian Championship and 4th in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
Hadjar’s first year in Formula 2, 2023, saw him finish 14th, which might not have prepared the world for what would come a year later: finishing 2nd behind four wins and eight podiums. As the 2025 season looms, Hadjar’s future in Formula 1 moves to center stage, whether that involves racing or remaining as a reserve driver. What is for certain, however, is that Hadjar has packed a tremendous amount of development into his first 20 years and there is an equally tremendous amount of promise looming for his next 20.
