In a move to provide added value to Upper Deck’s upcoming 2014 Upper Deck Marvel 3D Trading Cards set, the company will include playable Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game cards. The Legendary cards will be exclusive to hobby boxes.
The base set consists of 100 cards, and features Upper Deck’s 3D lenticular printing. The bonus inclusion of the Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game cards in every Hobby pack is a great cross promotion tool. Each 6-card pack will contain two playable Legendary DBG cards, with a total of 40 Legendary DBG cards per hobby box. There is also a “box hit” of one playable Legendary Sketch Card per box.
Releasing this November, a checklist of which Legendary cards will be included with this product has not been announced. The Legendary cards contain original art and game mechanics and most of the cards will be immediately usable in the Legendary Deck Building Game.
Each carton contains 12 boxes, and each box contains 20 packs of 6 cards. Each hobby pack will also include a Base Set Variant, Base Set Die-Cut Parallel, 3D Comic Cover or Affinity Lenticular Insert Card.
