Upper Deck Signs Hockey Phenom Matthew Savoie Multi-Year Exclusive Trading Card and Collectible Contract
Signed Jerseys, Pucks, and Exclusive Prints of Star Centerman Released Today
CARLSBAD, Ca. (July 12, 2022) – Upper Deck Signs Hockey Phenom Matthew Savoie – Upper Deck, the premier global sports and entertainment collectibles company, announced today that it has signed elite hockey player and 9th overall pick in the 2022 Upper Deck NHL Draft, Matthew Savoie to an exclusive trading card and collectible agreement.
In 2019 Savoie was drafted #1 overall in the WHL Bantam Draft by the Winnipeg ICE. During his official rookie season, Savoie scored 35 goals and 55 assists totaling an impressive 90 points. Throughout his 65 games played, Savoie led all WHL rookies in points. After his impressive career in the WHL, Savoie was drafted 9th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2022 Upper Deck NHL Draft. He now looks to take his blistering speed and offensive talents to Buffalo to make an impact at the next level.

This license grants Upper Deck exclusive rights to feature Savoie’s autograph on trading cards, collectibles, and memorabilia. Collectors and fans will be able to purchase autographed Team Canada and Winnipeg ICE pucks, jerseys, and various never-before-seen autographed prints showcasing Savoie in his Winnipeg ICE uniform.

One notable piece in Savoie’s portfolio commemorates his astounding WHL rookie season. The 24”x16” autographed piece titled “Speed Flare”, showcases an artistic collage depicting three images of Savoie in his Winnipeg ICE uniform alongside his impressive 2021-22 WHL rookie season stats. The collection also includes exclusive prints like “Laser Focus”, a 16”x20” piece that creatively represents Savoie’s speed and agility on the ice, along with fluorescent blue letters in the background spelling out “SAVOIE”.
