The 6′-1″, 180lb right-handed hurler has a fastball with movement that tops out at 95 MPH. The speed isn’t the key, it’s all about the movement. That’s what fools hitters.

So far in his minor league career he has a stellar 28-8 record. His combined earned run average is 2.82 and he has 289 strikeouts in just over 309 innings.

He’s currently with the Frisco Roughriders in AA and he’s finally met his match. His numbers are average but he’ll pitch his way out of it. At just 20 years of age, he has a long and prosperous career ahead of him.

Kudos to the Rangers who signed him at the age of 16 in 2012. Four years later he’s pitching his way up the ladder and with a little more development, fans can actually picture seeing him on the hill for Texas in the not too distant future.

Ariel Jurado most popular baseball card is is Chrome Prospect autographed card from 2016 Bowman Baseball. He also has autographed cards in 2016 Bowman Inception Baseball as well. Fans should enjoy his unusual penmanship, which has a lot of flair.

While he’s not overpowering, Jurado has advanced feel for pitching. His best offering is a changeup that allows him to neutralize left-handers. Opponents have a difficult time barreling his lively 89-91 mph sinker, and his slider is effective as well. ETA 2018.

This talented prospect was just promoted in July. He’s one of the youngest players in the Texas League. He doesn’t give up the long ball too often. He’ll be a fixture for the Rangers someday.
