Future Watch: Frank Vatrano Hockey Rookie Cards, BruinsFuture Watch: Frank Vatrano Hockey Rookie Cards, Bruins – Although wasn’t a household name in the greater Boston area before this season began, Frank Vatrano is now. Sure he had 18 goals at UMass Amherst last year and then a brief stint in the AHL but he was a long, long shot to ever play at the NHL level this season.
He started off the season in Providence, the Bruins AHL affiliate and he had an eye-popping 36 goals in 36 games! He then took his 55 points and injected some of that excitement into a sagging Bruins roster and he stuck, in a big way.
At 22, the un-drafted center has already exceeded expectations. At 5′-“9, 201lbs., he has the speed and the strength to compete at a high level. He had 8 goals and 11 points in his NHL audition. There was the expected drop-off but he did prove he can play with the big club again if he has a strong summer. Getting in the gym and regularly taking to the ice to hone his craft will help.
He’s currently playing for Team USA in St. Petersburg, Russia. In seven games he has five points. He is really representing his country well and making his fans back in Beantown very happy.
Frank Vatrano has several NHL licensed rookie cards. Two of his most popular can be found in 2015-16  Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey and 2015-16 Fleer Showcase Hockey. He’s also in Upper Deck’s AHL set. Fans will want to collect this player because he’s everything Bruins fans are looking for. He’s an East Longmeadow, MA native and he’s never left his home.
