Product Rewind: 2014 Topps Chrome Football – The 2014 NFL Rookie Draft Class will be one that collectors will look back on as a year that yielded several surprises. Granted it may take a few more years for those players to emerge as NFL stars, but rest assured, it will happen.
One of the appeals to Topps Chrome Football has always been the ON-CARD Rookie Autographs. They are GUARANTEED at the rate of one per box. In addition, the several tiers of refractors create a great chase for player collectors. Everyone knows how some of these limited edition cards perform on the secondary market and the cards from the 2014 version have been performing well on eBay.
It’s also very important to remember that while the sell sheet pictures rookies in their college uniforms, the actual cards feature them in their NFL uniforms. This sometimes throws collectors off but it all has to do with timing of the solicitation relevant to Topps rights to use images and likenesses.
