Future Watch: Adam Hall Baseball Cards, Baltimore OriolesAdam Hall was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles with the 60th overall pick in the 2017 MLB Amateur Draft. The London, Ontario native is taking a different path to the big leagues and he will follow in the footsteps of a lot of terrific Canadian ballplayers who have graced the diamond over the years.

Hall was born in Bermuda and lived until he was 12, discovering sports along the way. He was the first player drafted from Bermuda. He eventually moved to Canada after seeing the London Badgers play.

Hall got to play for the Canadian Jr. National Team for three years and was invited to workout with five major league teams. After graduating High School early, he left Canada to play in nine games of rookie ball, hitting .667, and in 2018, Hall played in Short-A, hitting a solid .293 with nine doubles, three triples, a home run and 24 RBI.

In 2019, Hall was promoted to A-Ball where, in 463 at-bats, he hit .298 with 22 doubles, 4 triples, five home runs, 45 RBI and had 33 steals! The shortstop was named to the postseason All-Star team.

Hall has a natural feel to hit, demonstrating good bat speed and the ability to hit to all fields from the right side of the plate, albeit with below-average power. He does have some pop to the gaps, however, and should be a consistent source of doubles and triples as he adds strength to his athletic frame. Speed might be Hall’s best tool, and club officials rave about his baserunning instincts. Hall’s defense and arm have improved considerably in the professional ranks to the point where scouts now view him as an above-average defender who can stick at shortstop.

With his slow start and torrid finish, Hall arguably was Baltimore’s most improved prospect in 2018. Club officials are quick to praise infield coordinator Dave Anderson and hitting coordinator Jeff Manto for their role in Hall’s development, as they each spent a lot of time working with Hall and made him a more confident player overall. He doesn’t have a very high ceiling, but the tools and skills are all there for Hall to develop into an every-day player. ETA 2021.

Here’s a look Adam Hall in action:

As a top prospect, Adam Hall already has several baseball cards on the market. His earliest cards can be found in 2016 Leaf Perfect Game All-American Classic. Collectors can find his latest Bowman cards in 2020 Bowman Chrome.

Hall seems like a classic overachiever. He would be a fun player to collect and watch develop.
