The 6-2 goalie was on his way to a very interesting hockey career.

His first season in Kamloops was an adventure. In 16 games he had a 4.13 goals against average and an .875 save percentage. His numbers could only go up.

In 2017, he had a terrific season with a .922 save percentage and a 2.74 goals against average.

In his post-draft season he was a horse. He played in 59 games. He had a .907 save percentage and a 2.95 goals against average. He took on the same workload as a professional goalie and that was a new high mark in his career.

Two days after the 2017 NHL Draft the Stars made a trade with Vegas; Ferguson was in that deal. The Knights were looking to build some goalie depth and little did they know they would run low on that early.

In mid-November the Knights had a rash of goalie injuries and Ferguson was ready for action. He finally got into his first NHL game in the last 9:14 against the Edmonton Oilers.

Here’s a look at Ferguson in action:

Collectors can get his Upper Deck Young Guns rookie card in 2017-18 Series 2 hockey. He also has cards in O-Pee-Chee.

His uniform is #1. He lived out his dream and now he will fight to get back to the NHL. He has a lot of talent and the fact that he’s only 19 means he will be seen again.

Goalies can take a lot of time to mature, sometimes until the age of 25. This prospect had that taste and now it’s time to collect him. He had a special moment in a monumental first season in Las Vegas.
