Future Watch: Henrik Borgstrom Rookie Hockey Cards, PanthersFuture Watch: Henrik Borgstrom Rookie Hockey Cards, PanthersHenrik Borgström was drafted by the Florida Panthers with the 23rd overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft. At the time their fanbase had never heard of the talented Finn but since then he’s built up quite a resume.

Before he was drafted, he played overseas in Finland. He did well playing in their junior hockey program there and then he came over and enrolled at the University of Denver and started to play there in 2016-17.

In 2016-17, he had 22 goals and 43 points in 37 games. The next season he had 23 goals and 52 points in 40 games. That last season there was dominant, and he had a great two-year run where he played in the Frozen Four twice in 2016 and 2017. He won a National Championship in 2017.

After his college career ended in 2017-18, he got in four games with the Panthers to get his feet wet. That’s when he collected his first NHL goal.

Collectors can find his rookie cards in 2018-19 Upper Deck Series 2, O-Pee-Chee, Trilogy and SPX.

In 2018-19 he’s played with Springfield and the Panthers. His AHL numbers were good. The pivot had 22 points in 24 games. Sound familiar? That’s the reason he’s played more in the NHL. Recently he had his first NHL multi-point game. In his first 41 games, he posted eight goals and eight assists.

Here’s a look at him in action:

This season he’s playing on the third line not logging big minutes. They’re working the 6-3, 190-pound prospect in the right way. He’s still just 21 and his future is bright.

Start collecting him now! He will figure out how to score 20 goals or more at the NHL level sooner rather than later. Don’t miss out on that.
