Future Watch: Jake Fraley Baseball Cards, Seattle Mariners – Jake Fraley was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays with the 77th overall pick in the 2016 MLB Amateur Draft. This talented outfielder has a lot of upside.

Fraley made a name for himself at Louisiana Tech. His last year there was in 2016 where he hit 10 doubles, six triples, five home runs, and 36 RBI with a .326 average in 66 games.

He next played for the Hudson Valley Renegades, right after the draft, in A-ball. He hit nine doubles, seven triples, one home run and 18 RBI with 33 steals in 55 games. In 2017, Fraley started  in rookie ball playing for the Gulf Coast Rays. In four games, he hit three doubles, one home run two RBI, and three steals. He finished the year in A+ ball with the Charlotte Stone Crabs. He only played in 26 games because of an injury, but collected three doubles, one triple, one home run, and 12 RBI.

In 2018, Fraley played a full year in Charlotte. He hit 19 doubles, seven triples, four home runs, 41 RBI and 11 steals with a .347 batting average. In November of that year, he was traded to the Seattle Mariners in the Mike Zunino deal.

In 2019, Fraley started in AA with the Arkansas Travelers. He hit 15 doubles, two triples, 11 home runs, and 47 RBI with a .313 batting average. He finished with Tacoma in AAA, hitting 12 doubles, three triples, eight homers, 33 RBI, and a .276 batting average. He got a September call up to the Mariners that ended early with a thumb injury.

In 2020, Fraley was in Mariners training camp, but when baseball returned to play during the pandemic, he was placed on the taxi squad. He eventually got called up from the alternate training site, but only played in seven games. This upcoming season he can crack the lineup and produce. Collectors should keep an eye on him.
