Future Watch: Jarrett Stidham Rookie Football Cards, Patriots – Jarrett Stidham was selected with the 133rd overall pick by the New England Patriots in the 2019 NFL Draft. This quarterback has a great arm, but he will need some luck if he intends to unseat incumbent starter, Tom Brady sometime in the future.
Stidham grew up in Kentucky and went to high school in Stephenville, Texas. As a senior there he passed for 2,934 yards with 35 touchdowns. He also rushed for 969 yards and 15 touchdowns.
He attended Baylor University. He didn’t get the playing time he’d hoped for. He still managed to throw for 1,265 yards with 12 touchdowns and two interceptions. He ran in two touchdowns as well. An injured ankle kept him out of a bowl game, and he ended up transferring to McClennan Community College. He didn’t play football there, or anywhere in 2016, and then he transferred to Auburn.
In 2017, he was the starter for Auburn. He threw for 3,158 yards and a cool 66.5 pass completion percentage. His 18 touchdowns against six interceptions was very good and he scored four times on the ground. He was named to the First-team All-SEC.
In 2018, he threw for 2,794 yards, with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. His completion percentage dropped to 60.7% and he rushed for three touchdowns. At the end of that season, he declared that he would enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

Some say he throws a better ball than any other quarterback in the draft. In his first OTA’s people are saying very positive things. Again, barring injury, he will get preseason action only. Collectors should collect him because one day, he may be the future #1.
