Future Watch: Riley Stillman Hockey Cards, Florida Panthers – Riley Stillman was drafted by the Florida Panthers with the 114th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft. Taking the son of former NHLer Cory Stillman was not only a good risk, it turned out to be a steal.

In 2014-15, Stillman got a taste of the Oshawa Generals playing in nine games. Over the next two-plus seasons, he showed his wares as an offensive defenseman, peaking with 10 points in 11 playoff games in 2017. The next season he started with Oshawa and then got traded to the Hamilton Bulldogs. On his new team, the blueliner had 21 points in 33 games and 14 points, including five goals, in 21 playoff games.

In 2018-19, he made his NHL debut, playing in one game before heading right back to the Springfield Falcons in the AHL where he started the season. In that season, he had 17 points in 59 games.

2019-20 was an interesting season for the young defenseman. He almost made the Panthers out of training camp, but played in 25 AHL games (getting six points) and he played in 34 games with Florida, counting five assists. Stillman was on the return to play roster and his team was headed to the NHL playoffs.

Collectors can get Stillman’s rookie cards in 2019-20 Ultimate Collection, SP Authentic, MVP, and O-Pee-Chee to name a few.

Here’s a draft flashback:

Stillman has offense in his game and skates well. His coach, Joel Quenneville, showed confidence in him this year and you should too. Stillman is worth collecting, as he gets more playing time, more of his offensive game will emerge.
