Future Watch: Willie Cauley-Stein Basketball Rookie Cards, Kings – The imposing presence of Cauley-Stein in the paint gives teams pause when attacking the basket. At 7′ and 240lbs, the former SEC Defensive Player of the Year is proving he can play at the NBA level.

Selected with the sixth overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2015 NBA Draft, Cauley-Stein played three seasons at Kentucky. He was a consensus All-American and First Team All-SEC in his junior year.

The NBA Rookie Ladder reports, Cauley-Stein does not exactly storm back into the rankings after a one-week hiatus — 19.1 minutes and 4.4 rebounds the last five games, although also 64.3 percent from the field in limited opportunities — but his play for the season as a whole remains at a high level.  He is fifth among rookies in blocks, tied for fifth in rebounding, first in shooting.”

Cauley-Stein is currently averaging 6.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per-game. For a more in depth look at his statistics, check out, Willie Cauley-Stein’s NBA Player Profile.

Here is a look at highlights from his 16-point performance against the Nets last month:

Some of Cauley-Stein’s true talents however are on the defensive end. Unfortunately, the Kings put little emphasis on that aspect of the game.

Panini America, the licensed trading card manufacturer of the NBA has already released product details for several upcoming basketball card sets. Collectors can be assured that Willie Cauley-Stein will be a featured rookie throughout the NBA trading card season.

With regards to his NBA and NCAA licensed basketball cards, Willie Cauley-Stein is still under-valued in the market as evidenced by recent secondary market pricing. This provides collectors with plenty of upside potential as it is clear that he has a long NBA future ahead of him.
