Grading The Stars: Amanda Nunes, UFC – There’s just something about the stars. They’re mesmerizing. Whether it’s the stars in sports, entertainment or in the sky, they captivate us with their dazzling ways and continue to shine ever so brightly for all of us to see.
In the Grading The Stars series, we’ll feature the stars of the past, present and future and grade them based on their prestige, performance and promise. Plus, we’ll highlight three cool cards of a star to collect under a certain dollar figure.
There are five grading levels of the stars: 10 = Icon (Blue Diamond), 9.5 = Legend (Platinum), 9 = Superstar (Gold), 8.5 = Star (Silver) and 8 = Rising Star (Bronze).
Today, we’ll feature a woman who has the most victories in UFC by a female (14 wins) and was the first woman in UFC to win two titles and defend them simultaneously. UFC President Dana White said, “She’s the greatest female fighter of all-time and one of the greatest mixed martial artists to ever live,” Amanda Nunes.
Greatest Of All-Time: Amanda Nunes comes from a fighting family and got exposed to it at an early age. She made her pro debut in 2008, and the hard work paid off, as she’s widely regarded as the greatest female fighter of all-time with a 21-5-0 career record.
The Lioness: When Nunes steps into the octagon, she’s the most feared woman on the planet. Known as The Lioness, the Brazilian-born Nunes, who is the current UFC Featherweight Champion, is always on the prowl and looking for a fight.
Future Outlook: Even though she lost her Bantamweight Championship to Julianna Peña in December, Nunes’ card market remains strong. Her cards always depict intensity and are extremely fun. Nunes is one every UFC fan should collect.
