GTS 2014 Industry Summit Wrap-Up – So the crew at GTS is settling back in after a very busy 2014 Industry Summit in  Las Vegas. The four days in the desert go fast, considering the months of preparation and planning that go into the conference. There was a lot of fun to be had and free stuff to be given – all as a thank you to our customers and the hobby retailers who serve as the backbone of our industry.

Starting on Sunday afternoon, we gave away cash, Topps products, GTS car phone chargers, GTS keychain flashlights, some GTS pens and of course the Bowman baseball jerseys you can see in some of the pictures – Thanks for partnering with us Topps! Sunday evening we took a group of customers  to hang out at TAO with Upper Deck executives. A big thanks to Upper Deck for breaking awesome product and providing some giveaways.

GTS 2014 Industry Summit Wrap-Up

Following the Monday morning meetings, retailers we able to visit the GTS booth, interact with our staff and order show specials. Our sales manager, Mike Blumenson, put together a whopping 10 specials for those attending the show. Monday afternoon was the much-anticipated Ultimate Case Break, highlighted by the pre-release of National Treasures Football. Another big thanks to Panini America for continuing to partner with GTS on this program. Mojobreak and Layton Sports Cards, and Panini’s Tim Franz and Tracy Hackler MCed the break and really made it fun.

GTS gave away some cool jerseys and Tshirts to event participants to round out the good time, and a special thanks on this event goes out to Kevin Isaacson, Ultra Pro and Lori Van Santen for helping things run smoothly. One other quick note about the the Ultimate Case break. While it’s always great fun to bust some wax, it’s important to note that this event also provides 20 shop owners, who have not been to The Industry Summit, a free scholarship… a true win-win!

Tuesday morning at the conference… more meetings. Great information and the opportunity for all in attendance to interact and get some business done. At the GTS booth on Tuesday afternoon we were busy handing out the cards from the prior evening’s Case Break.

And who could forget we teamed with Upper Deck in promotion of the 2014 SP Authentic Golf release.We were fortunate to be able to have pro golfer Blair O’Neal at our booth signing autographs and taking pictures with all attendees. Blair was awesome – super friendly! She took time and chatted with everyone and signed for an hour-and-a-half. Thanks again to Upper Deck for working together on this. Following the signing and handing out the last of the case break cards, it was time to pack up the booth and get everything back to the warehouse until next year.

There were remaining meetings on Wednesday morning, including a spirited distributor panel hosted by the top sales guys from Panini, Topps and Upper Deck. A good way to wind up the the conference. Thanks again to our customers and our vendors, and to Kevin Isaacson and his crew… as we say here at GTS, Great Teams Succeed!
