Luis Severino – NY Yankees, RHP Draft Year: 2012, FA Age: 21 MLB Team Ranking: 1, ESPN Team Ranking: 4 Scouting Report: A consistent thrower in the mid-90s, his fastball has good sink and can peak at 90mph. His secondary offering is a deceptive changeup. His slider is average but continues to improve.  |
| Marcos Melina – NY Mets, RHP Draft Year: 2012, FA Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking: 16 ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Throws three pitches for strikes and groundouts: a mid-90s fastball, slider and a changeup which he displays tremendous confidence in. An all around athletic player with good knowledge of pitching at a young age.  |
Nick Gordon – Minnesota Twins, SS Draft Year: 2014, 1st Round (5th overall) Age: 19 MLB Team Ranking: 6, ESPN Team Ranking: 4 Scouting Report: Successfully converted from pitcher. His quick feet and mid-90s fastball arm, give him tremendous range. Strong pedigree as the son of Tom Gordon.  |
| Orlando Arcia – Milwaukee Brewers, SS Draft Year: 2010, FA Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking: 2, ESPN Team Ranking: 1 Scouting Report: Unquestionable defensive skills. Makes consistent contact at the plate with very few strikeouts. Hits to all fields and is an extra-base, as well as, stolen base threat due to his speed.  |
Ozhaino Albies – Atlanta Braves, SS Draft Year: 2013, FA Age: 18 MLB Team Ranking: 9, ESPN Team Ranking: 3 Scouting Report: Has a quick swing and good eye-hand coordination that he utilizes to drive the ball. Possesses average speed and a good skill set for the position including a strong arm.  |
| Peter O’Brian – Arizona Diamondbacks, 1B/C Draft Year: 2012, 2nd Round Age: 24 MLB Team Ranking: 9 ESPN Team Ranking: 17 Scouting Report: A power hitter with the ability to go yard at any at bat. Lacks plate discipline and has a hole in his swing. Won’t hit for average but is a RBI machine.  |
Rafael Devers – Boston Red Sox, 3B Draft Year: 2013, FA Age: 18 MLB Team Ranking: 4, ESPN Team Ranking: 4 Scouting Report: Considered to have the strongest bat and highest ceiling of any prospect in the organization. Hits for power and average with a quick stroke and good plate discipline. A mature hitter for his age that will only get better with experience.  |
| Raisel Iglesias – Cincinnati Reds, RHP Draft Year: Cuban FA Age: 25 MLB Team Ranking: NA ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Signed the Cuban defector to a 7-year deal after watching him pitch in Haiti last summer. He has four quality pitches and projects as a 3rd or 4th starter.  |
Ryan Merrit – Cleveland Indians, LHP Draft Year: 2011, 16th Round Age: 23 MLB Team Ranking: NA ESPN Team Ranking: 20 Scouting Report: Has exceptional command and control that he uses to offset his lack of velocity. Throws three pitches for strikes: fastball, changeup and curve. He can change velocity on any of them and paints the corners.  |
| Ryan Refsnyder – NY Yankees, 2B Draft Year: 2012, 5th Round Age: 24 MLB Team Ranking: 6 ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: The best pure hitter in the organization. He hits to all fields thanks to control of the strike zone and a quick bat. Shows occasional power and is an adequate defender at the position.  |
Rowdey Tellez – Toronto Blue Jays, 1B Draft Year: 2013, 30th Round Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking: NA ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Displayed exceptional, raw power on the showcase circuit. Has good command of the strike zone. Is still finding himself defensively but has a strong work ethic.  |
| Stephen Gonsalves – Minnesota Twins, LHP Draft Year: 2013, 4th Round Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking: 14 ESPN Team Ranking:NA Scouting Report: Continues to improve on a multi-pitch arsenal including a slider that is becoming a go to out pitch. At 6’5″, 190lbs, scouts expect him to add strength that could bring his fastball up from the mid-80s to the low 90’s.  |
Seth Streich – Oakland A’s, RHP Draft Year: 2012, 6th Round Age: 24 MLB Team Ranking: NA ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Has shown consistent, year-over-year improvement. Throws strikes and has a solid strikeout to walk ratio. Is the dominant strikeout pitcher in the organization.  |
| Tim Berry – Baltimore Orioles, LHP Draft Year: 2009 50th Round Age: 24 MLB Team Ranking: 6 ESPN Team Ranking: 14 Scouting Report: While not over-powering, he has good control and movement of a three-pitch mix that includes a fastball, curve and change-up. Projects well as a middle innings reliever or 5th starter.  |
Ty Blach – San Francisco Giants, LHP Draft Year: 2012 5th Round Age: 24 MLB Team Ranking: 6, ESPN Team Ranking: 8 Scouting Report: Unique in that he throws two types of fastballs, two types of breaking balls and a sinking changeup. This really confuses hitters and makes up for a lack of velocity.  |
| Trevor Gott – Los Angeles Angels, RHP Draft Year: 2013 6th Round Age: 22 MLB Team Ranking: 17 ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Throws a lot of groundballs with a sinking, low 90s fastball. Primary off-speed pitch is a serviceable breaking ball. Has a smooth delivery and repeatable mechanics.  |
Teoscar Hernandez – Houston Astros, OF Draft Year: 2011, FA Age: 22 MLB Team Ranking: 9, ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Has the potential of being a five-tool player. Has good power-speed combination. If plate discipline and mechanics improve, he has a strong upside.  |
| Trey Michalczewski – Chicago White Sox, 3B Draft Year: 2013, 7th Round Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking: 9, ESPN Team Ranking: 7 Scouting Report: A solid switch hitter with great bat skills and command of the plate. Equally adept from either side in power and average. Hits to all fields and has speed to turn singles into doubles.  |
Touki Toussant – Arizona Diamondbacks, RHP Draft Year: 2014, 1st Round (16th Overall) Age: 18 MLB Team Ranking: 3, ESPN Team Ranking: 4 Scouting Report: Throws a low-90s fastball with a lot of movement. His curveball is considered the best of his draft class. A sharp break and mid-70s velocity makes it a solid swing and miss out pitch.  |
| Tyler Wagner – Milwaukee Brewers, RHP Draft Year: 2012, 4th Round Age: 24 MLB Team Ranking: 16 ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Uses a heavy, sinking low-90s fastball to attack hitters early in the count. Has a solid breaking ball with a sharp bite. The combination of the two results in weak contact.  |
Victor Reyes – Atlanta Braves, OF Draft Year: 2011, FA Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking:20, ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Traded to the Diamondbacks earlier this month, he is a work in progress. Lacks power but has above average speed. Developing consistent contact at the plate is a main priority.  |
| Wes Parson – Atlanta Braves, RHP Draft Year: 2011, FA Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking: 20 ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Effectively mixes a slider and changeup with a sinking, low-90s fastball. Is aggressive and goes right after hitters getting ahead early in the count.  |
Yasmany Tomas – Arizona Diamondbacks, OF Draft Year: Cuban FA Age: 24 MLB Team Ranking: NA ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: One of the big Cuban free agents signings, Tomas has tremendous raw power. How that translates to his overall game has yet to be seen. Has a high ceiling and could be a diamond in the rough.  |
