That happens to be the O2 Arena in London, not far from Manchester, the home of No. 6 Aspinall (12-2-0). On Saturday, he will get the opportunity to step into the octagon as the underdog and take out the dangerous No. 4 Curtis Blaydes (16-3-0, 1NC), 31, in the main event of UFC Fight Night 208.

Aspinall brought the house down in his last fight. Can he do it again?

Blaydes is not Alexander Volkov. His striking is decent, but his smarts and ability to get the fight down to the mat are key factors in the fight. Aspinall negated Volkov’s ground game with power striking in the last one. Maybe he has it all figured out. Just keep it simple and have some fun. Can you blame him? Aspinall’s 100% finish rate speaks for itself.

This builds some pressure on Blaydes, who has come close before, but with no cigar in the title shot conversation. He is defending his No. 4 position, and he must prevail to avoid getting lost in the shuffle. He looked good against Chris Daukaus, landing the knee so we know he is improving his striking. His chin will be put to the test, and if it fails, he will be looking up at the lights. If Blaydes can hold his own on the feet, he can dictate the fight and put Aspinall to the test defensively on the ground.

Aspinall Select GreenIt should be a great fight, just like a Cornish pasty.

Aspinall will have Paddy Pimblett, Molly McCann, and the entire U.K. brigade supporting him. The U.K. likes to have a good time, and that should have Aspinall cool and calm.

Enjoy the fight!
