MLB Future Watch: Jordan Westburg Baseball Cards, Baltimore Orioles – Jordan Westburg was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles with the 30th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Amateur Draft. The middle infielder is a valuable player because he can play multiple infield positions, plus he’s a good contact hitter.
Westburg starred at Mississippi State where he hit 11 doubles, 2 home runs, and 30 RBI. It was a good start.
In 2019-20, Westburg hit 21 doubles, 2 triples, 6 home runs, 61 RBI with 7 steals, and a .294 batting average.
In 2020, he only got into 16 NCAA games because of the pandemic. He hit 6 doubles, 2 home runs with 11 RBI, and a .317 batting average.
In 2021, Westburg played in Class A in Delmarva to start and ended up with the Bowie Baysox in AA. His combined numbers were 27 doubles, 5 triples, 15 home runs, 79 RBI with 17 stolen bases, and a .285 batting average.
In 2022, he started with Bowie and ended up with the Norfolk Tides in AAA. He had a career year hitting 39 doubles, 3 triples, 27 RBI, and 106 RBI with 12 steals and a .265 batting average. At that point, he was playing a lot at second base and shortstop and a little bit at third base.
In 2023, Westburg had a near perfect split between AAA and the big leagues. In 67 games, he hit 18 home runs with 54 RBI, promotion worthy numbers. With Baltimore, he hit 17 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs 23 RBI, and 4 steals with a .260 batting average. He was playing second and third base, and then he got to play in the postseason. In 9 at-bats, he got 2 hits and 2 runs scored. He can carry that great experience forward to next year. That’s why he should be on your watch list.
MLB Future Watch: Jordan Westburg Cards Worth Chasing
One card to get is Westburg’s 2021 Bowman Chrome card. It shows him in-action turning a double play from second base. Just a cool card.
His 2020 Bowman 1st Draft is a good one as well. It shows him on the infield, where he will be for the next 5-10 years hopefully.
His 2021 Bowman Heritage Autograph Card is a solid one. The signature is sharp, and it appears to be an on-card autograph which is what collectors are looking for in high-end cards.
