MLB Future Watch: Masyn Winn Baseball Cards, St. Louis CardinalsMLB Future Watch: Masyn Winn Baseball Cards, St. Louis CardinalsMasyn Winn was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals with the 54th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft. Winn hails from Kingwood, Texas. In high school he played multiple positions. He was a shortstop and a right-handed pitcher. Lots of times, shortstops are the best athletes on their teams.

In 2020, Perfect Game USA had him ranked #2 in Texas and #11 in the country. That’s a lot of hype with 19 doubles, 5 triples, 5 home runs, 44 RBI with 32 steals and a .242 batting average. He was caught stealing just five times. His on-base percentage was .324, so the more he’s on the base paths, the worse it is for the other team.

In 2022, he ended up playing for two teams starting in A+ and ending up in AA with the Springfield Cardinals. Winn’s combined numbers were 36 doubles, 8 triples, 12 home runs and 63 RBI with 43 steals and a .283 batting average. His .364 on-base percentage and .468 slugging percentage were big numbers to cap off a big year for the Cardinals prospect. One of his rewards was playing in the Futures Game.

He’s known as a toolsy guy with power and speed and a strong throwing arm, which makes him the Cardinals next best shortstop. He started to get a lot of hype heading into the 2023 season. He played a good portion of the season for the Memphis Redbirds. In 105 games, he had 445 at-bats, 15 doubles, 7 triples, 18 home runs and 61 RBI with 17 steals. His .351 on-base percentage stood out too.

He got his first hit, but Mets first baseman, Pete Alonso, errantly threw his first major league hit ball into the crowd. No word on if the prospect got it back, but his first hit certainly made headlines!

MLB Future Watch: Masyn Winn Cards Worth Chasing

Winn’s 2020 Bowman Paper card is one card to find. It’s always fun to crack some wax looking for players that are just emerging.

His 2022 Bowman Chrome Draft card is another good one. The action shot shows him after making a big throw.

His 2020 Leaf Trinity Autograph Card is sharp. The green version is numbered to 25. And the signature is a good one, not just two letters.
