MLB Future Watch: Nolan Schanuel Baseball Cards, Los Angeles AngelsMLB Future Watch: Nolan Schanuel Baseball Cards, Los Angeles Angels – Nolan Schanuel was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels with the 11th overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. This big first baseman and outfielder has a bright future.

Schanuel grew up in Boynton Beach in South Florida. He played baseball at  Park Vista Community High School. The star who would stay in the Sunshine State to play college baseball at Florida Atlantic.

In 2021, he hit 11 home runs with 56 RBI and a .343 batting average. He had a .576 slugging percentage with 54 runs scored. Collegiate Baseball named him a Freshman All-America. Schanuel played first base for the first time in his career and only committed two errors that season.

In 2022, he was named a preseason All-American by Perfect Game/Rawlings. Schanuel hit 16 home runs with 56 RBI and a .369 batting average. He had a .658 slugging percentage and a .477 on-base percentage.

In 2023, his junior season, he hit a career-high 19 home runs with 64 RBI with a .447 batting average. His .868 slugging percentage and .615 on-base percentage were out of this world great. He had 70 runs scored in just 59 games. Schanuel was named Conference USA Player of the Year. USA Baseball’s Golden Spikes Award named him as one of the 25 semifinalists in the country.

After the draft in 2023, Schanuel played for three different teams. He ended up with the Trash Pandas in AA. In 74 at-bats, he hit 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, and 15 RBI with a .365 batting average and a .505 on-base percentage.

Schanuel has a compact swing, and he can dink and dunk or hit a line drive to all fields. He also has power and speed. His skills will help Mike Trout in the near future, which is good news for Angels fans.

One card to get is Schanuel’s 2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball Rookie. This card that shows him in his batting stance has a lot of variations.

Another cool card is his 2023 Leaf Metal Lunararity Black Rookie Autograph numbered to just 10. The card is sharp and has a sweet signature.

One last card is his 2023 Topps 35th Anniversary Rookie. He is pictured in his Angels gear.
