NFL Future Watch: Joey Porter Jr. Football Cards, Prospect – Joey Porter Jr is among the best athletes in the 2023 NFL Draft. His father, Joey Porter, had a long NFL career as a linebacker. He was a five-time, first-team pro bowler, and his son has amazing ability at cornerback.
Porter attended North Catholic High School in Cranberry Township, PA. Then after he transferred to North Allegheny Senior High School in Wexford, PA. He left there a four-star prospect and that got the attention of Penn State University, who signed him.
In 2019, he only played in four games. He made three tackles and had one pass defended.
Porter played in all eight games during the pandemic. He had 33 tackles, nine solo, two for a loss, and he had four passes defended.
In 2022, he played in 10 games, with 21 solo tackles, 27 total. He had 11 passes defended and a fumble recovery. He was selected to the First Team All-Big 10 and was ready to turn pro.
The 6’2” Porter is a tremendous athlete. At the 2023 NFL Combine, he ran a 4.45 in the 40-yard dash! Add a 35” vertical leap and a 10’9” broad jump, and that spells elite athlete.
What I like about Porter are his hands and his speed. He can keep up with receivers, has long arms to keep the ball away, and can make a key interception. Porter is good at reading the play. He plays tight even on deep balls and can break up passes over the middle. He’s a guaranteed top-ten pick. There’s a chance he can get close to the top five if it all breaks right for him at the draft.

One card to get is Porter’s 2022 Bowman Chrome University Autograph. It shows him in his Penn State gear, and the on card autograph looks good.
Another card is his 2022 SAGE High Series card. It’s a Sage All-Rookie Team card which makes sense since he has all this talent. It will all get set in motion the minute he hears his name called at the NFL Draft.
A third card could be the Bowman University Gold Refractor numbered 499. It’s a nice action shot, it’s autographed, and it’s limited. What more can you ask for? Don’t miss out on collecting this player.
