NFL Future Watch: Michael Wilson Football Cards, Arizona Cardinals – Michael Wilson was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the 94th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The wide receiver grew up in Simi Valley, California. His mother is from New Zealand, and they have some footballers in the family. Talented, athletic bloodlines are good, but the athlete still has to put in the work. In his junior year of high school, Wilson caught 70 passes for 1,278 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Wilson, a four-star recruit, committed to Stanford. The wide receiver was ready for the bigger stage. He started in 10 games in 2018, his first season. It was a good start, with 14 receptions for 126 yards and one touchdown.
In his second season, Wilson played in 12 games and caught 56 passes for 672 yards and five touchdowns. He was averaging 12 yards per catch and improving drastically from the season before.
In 2020, during the pandemic, he played in four games. Wilson had 19 receptions for 261 yards and one touchdown. His yards per catch was a career-best 13.7.
In 2021, it was another four-game season due to a foot injury. Wilson had 19 receptions for 185 yards. Though it was a tough season, it was good he had a chance to play, so his development wasn’t be affected.
In 2022, Wilson embarked on his senior year, his fifth year. He caught 26 passes for 418 yards and four touchdowns. He ran for another 47 yards. It was a good season. His yards per catch, 16. 1, was the best of his career. The next step was the NFL Combine.
At the combine, Wilson ran a 4.58 in the 40-yard dash. His vertical jump was 37.5 inches, and he did 23 reps on the bench press! At 6’2”, 213 pounds, Wilson can go up and get the ball. It took him a while to get the ball thrown his way, but by week 5, he had 15 receptions for 255 yards and two touchdowns.

A card that stands out is his 2023 Panini Luminance Rookie. The card shows him running with defenders chasing him. A great photo!! Collect this guy before it’s too late.
