NFL Future Watch: Peter Skoronski Football Cards, Tennessee Titans – Peter Skoronski was drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the 11th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. At 6’4” and over 300 pounds, he has the measurables to be a solid guard. He first starred at Maine South High School in Park Ridge, Illinois. As an elite player, he was chosen to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl.
As a top high school player, Skoronski had a chance to go to some great colleges. He stayed close and committed to Northwestern University. In his freshman year, he played all nine games of the pandemic shortened season. Skoronski was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team. 247 Sports named him a true Freshman All-American. Skoronski was partially responsible for getting 16 offensive touchdowns and 162.8 rushing yards per game. That was a tremendous season.
In 2021, he played in 12 games. His teammate, running back Evan Hull had a 1,000-yard season. Skoronski was named to the All-Big Ten First Team by the coaches and Second Team by the media.
In 2022, his junior season, he played in all 12 games once again. Pro Football Focus had him as the fifth best run blocking grade among all Power 5 qualifying tackles. The coaches and media named him to the All-Big Ten First Team. He was a finalist for the 2022 Outland Trophy, for the nation’s best interior lineman on both offense and defense.
At the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, the big guard ran a 5.16 in the 40-yard dash. Considering his size, that was good. His course was set after he did 30 reps on the weight bench. He was going in the first round. It was just a matter of who would take him.
Skoronski made the Titans out of training camp. He played like a veteran and started in 14 games this season. He is a must-collect and has a chance to be a perennial All-Pro starting next season, so don’t waste time.
