NHL Future Watch: Brandon Biro Hockey Cards, Buffalo Sabres – Brandon Biro was signed as a free agent by the Buffalo Sabres after his four NCAA seasons were completed. He’s an undrafted winger who is making an impact in the Sabres pipeline and could get a chance with the big club next season.
The Canadian-born player first starred with the Spruce Grove Saints in the AJHL. In 2014-15, he had 21 goals and 54 points in 57 games. Biro added 14 points in 16 playoff games. He was the AJHL Rookie of the Year, and his team won the championship.
In his second season in Spruce Grove, he had 32 goals and 25 assists in 57 games. Again, Biro shined in the playoffs with 20 points in 14 games. During that 2015-16 season, he had two points in four games representing Team Canada in the World Jr. A-Challenge and he walked away with a gold medal.
In 2016-17, he joined Penn State University’s hockey program. He had 20 points in 39 games. That’s a good start. Penn State won the B1G Championship.
In 2017-18, he had nine goals and 31 points in 37 games. Biro was showing a progression.
In his sophomore season, Biro had 16 goals and 40 points in 37 games. After that 2018-19 season, he got an honorable mention for the B1G All-Star team roster.
In 2019-20, he played in 25 games, and he was a point-per-game player. He was an NCAA B1G Regular Season Champion. After that, he was ready to turn professional.
In 2020-21, Biro played in 15 games with Rochester during the pandemic. He had five points in 15 games. The Sabres called him up for a game as well.
Biro had his best season in Rochester in 2022-23. He had 15 goals and 50 points in 45 games. At this moment in time, he’s leading his team in scoring. His solid two-way makes him a threat to score short-handed goals on the penalty kill. He must stay healthy, that’s it.

One card to get is Biro’s 2022-23 Upper Deck Artifacts Rookie. This is a solid card and has a nice photo of him in his Sabres sweater.
Another cool card is his 2022-23 Upper Deck Artifacts Rookie Leather Short Print. Same card as above with the look of leather on the edges. It’s a cool technology card.
Biro will be in 2022-23 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey as well. So, sit back and collect a player who could seemingly come out of nowhere next season for the Sabres.
