Wolf is an outlier and an exception. He looks like an NHL goalie.

Wolf began to make a name for himself while playing for the Everett Silvertips in 2017-18. In his first season, he was the backup to Carter Hart, who ended up on the Philadelphia Flyers. He had a 2.25 goals against average and a .928 save percentage. He played in one postseason game as well.

In 2018-19, he played in 61 games. He had a 1.63 goals-against average with a stellar .936 save percentage. In 10 playoff games, Wolf had a 2.02 goals against average and a .914 save percentage. He was the WHL Goalie of the Year.

In 2019-20, he played his last full season in Everett. In 46 games, the talented goalie had a 1.88 goals-against average with a .935 save percentage. During that season, he represented Team USA in the World Juniors. He played in one game.

During the pandemic in 2020, Wolf played in 20 games for Everett posting a 1.80 goals against average with a .940 save percentage. Then he turned professional and played three games in the AHL for the Stockton Heat where he posted a low .895 save percentage. During that season, he posted one shutout in the World Juniors and wasn’t scored on. He took home a gold medal for his trouble.

He was still with the Heat in 2021-22. In 47 games, he had a 2.35 goals against average and a .924 save percentage. He played in 13 playoff games as well. Wolf made the All-Rookie Team and was named Goaltender of the Year.

In 2022-23, Wolf was still in the AHL with the new Calgary Wranglers. Through 55 games, he had a 2.09 goals against average and a .932 save percentage. In nine playoff games, he had a .912 save percentage as well. He got a shot at the big time when played in one game for the Flames.
