NHL Future Watch: Kaedan Korczak Hockey Cards, Vegas Golden Knights – Kaedan Korczak was drafted by the Vegas Golden Knights as the 41st overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. This 6’4” defenseman has offensive ability and a few more attributes that a lot of hockey teams look for. His father, Chad was an NCAA defenseman.

In 2017-18, this blueliner played full-time for the Kelowna Rockets. He had 16 points in 67 games. In the playoffs, Korczak was a point-per-game.

In 2018-19, he had four goals and 29 assists in 68 games. The prospect also represented Canada in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup U18 team. There, he tallied three points in five games. Korczak took home a gold medal.

2019-20 was a big year. Korczak had 11 goals and 38 assists in 60 games. During that season, he took part in the CHL Top Prospects Game.

In 2020-21, during a pandemic-shortened season, he had eight points in 15 games in Kelowna. Then he turned pro and scored two points in 11 AHL games with the Henderson Silver Knights. During that season, Korczak had another chance to represent Canada in the 2021 World Junior Championship. He scored a point in seven games and took home a silver medal.

In 2021-22, he mostly played in Henderson. In 47 games, he had 14 points. Then he had a chance to play in two playoff games. Korczak did play in one NHL game to give him something else to shoot for.

In 2022-23, he scored eight points in 30 games. Korczak added his first NHL point in one game. He got another chance to play in the NHL. It’s possible that he will get more NHL games due to injuries on the Golden Knights.

I love the way Korczak keeps his head up while going up the ice to scan his next move. He can make the hard pass or soft finesse pass up ice. If things go south, he will fight. At 21, he’s very close to becoming an NHL regular.

The first card to collect is Korczak’s 2022-23 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey Young Guns Rookie. He’s pictured in the classic Knights uniform and it’s a good action shot as well.

The Canvas version of his Young Guns Rookie shows him in their gray sweaters so it’s a nice change.

The last card to chase for now would be his French Young Guns Rookie. More cards will be made as he continues to have a greater impact in the NHL.
