NHL Future Watch: Marco Rossi Hockey Cards, Minnesota Wild – Marco Rossi is a top prospect for the Minnesota Wild. He was the ninth overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. Sometimes life can be a bumpy ride full of twists and turns, and so far, that’s been the case for the talented forward.
As an Austrian hockey player, he naturally played hockey in Europe. He decided on the Swiss League early on and played at various levels for them. In 2015-16, he played on the GC Kusnacht team and had a big year. Rossi had 15 goals and 40 points in 18 games!
In 2016-17, with the same team, he had 28 goals and 23 assists in 29 games. He was a point-per-game player in the playoffs as well. During that season, he represented Austria in the Group B U18s and had six goals and eight points in five games. They won a silver medal and would do the same thing the year after.
In 2018-19, Rossi started playing for the Ottawa 67s in the CHL. He had 65 points in 53 games and 22 points in 17 playoff games. In a great rookie campaign, he was named to the OHL Second-All-Rookie Team.
2019-20 was a massive year for the pivot. Rossi had 120 points to lead all CHL scorers. The next season was the pandemic and then he had some Covid related health problems. 2020 was a lost year for him.
In 2021-22, Rossi had 53 points in 63 AHL games with the Iowa Wild. A nice bounce-back year, and he got in two games with the Wild.
In 2022-23, he played up with the Wild but struggled. He was fine defensively but only had one point in 16 games, so they sent him down. With Iowa, he was really good. He had 36 points in his first 39 games. While missing a year of development, at 21, he can still be a terrific player and one worth collecting.

Rossi’s best card is his 2022-23 Upper Deck Young Guns Rookie. It’s a nice action shot wearing the classic Wild sweater.
A cool color match card is his 2022-23 O-Pee-Chee Marquee Rookie in Green Rainbow Foil.
A big card to shoot for is his 022-23 Upper Deck Artifacts Dual Jersey Auto numbered to 99. This card shows him in his green sweater, and it shows off an interesting signature. This card is already high in value but could be worth chasing in the end because the upside is still there for this player.
