NHL Future Watch: Samuel Bolduc Hockey Cards, NY IslandersNHL Future Watch: Samuel Bolduc Hockey Cards, NY IslandersSamuel Bolduc was drafted by the New York Islanders with the 57th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. The 6’4” defenseman was always going to take time to get to the NHL. He had a late birthday for his draft year, so the Islanders have been very patient with him. That patience is paying off.

It all started with Laval-Montreal Rousseau Royal in 2016-17. He had 15 points in 37 games in the QMAAA. Then he finished out the season with Blainville-Boisbriand Armada where he played in six games but didn’t put up any points.

That next season, he was still with the Armada and had fourteen points in 57 games. Those are good numbers for a young defenseman. Then Bolduc played in 20 playoff games and scored seven points.

In 2018-19, Bolduc had nine goals and 28 assists in 65 games. He added two points in five playoff games. He really ratcheted up his offensive game for the Armada. So much so, that he was traded to the Sherbrooke Phoenix. He excelled there with four goals and 23 helpers in 29 games.

In 2020-21, he turned pro and started to play with the Bridgeport Islanders. The blueliner had six goals and eight assists in24 games.

In 2021-22, Bolduc played in 57 games getting seven points. He was starting to round out his game.

In 2022-23, he played in Bridgeport, but also had a nice run of games in the NHL with the Islanders. With Bridgeport, he had ten goals and 25 assists in 56 games, great production. Then he played in 17 NHL games and had three points. Bolduc got postseason experience playing in two games, but he didn’t get on the scoreboard.

NHL Future Watch: William Dufour Cards Worth Collecting

One card to get is Bolduc’s 2023-24 Upper Deck MVP Card. It’s a nice action shot of him wearing his Islanders blue sweater.

Another card to get is his 2020-21 Upper Deck AHL Star Rookie. Wearing his AHL gear, this is a picture showing him defending.

One last card to look for is his 2019-20 Upper Deck CHL card. Always a fun set when they put them out, the big rearguard is wearing his Armada sweater. Bolduc looks to be gaining the offensive zone in this shot.

Collect him because he has offensive ability and a lot toughness as well.
