Ovechkin has been with the Capitals for his entire NHL career. He was drafted first overall by Washington in the 2004 Entry Draft, and made his debut during the 2005-06 season. As a prospect, Ovechkin was heralded as a surefire superstar and drew comparisons to Mario Lemieux. His rookie season was one to remember as he lead all NHL rookies in goals, points, power-play goals and shots. To nobody’s surprise, he would win the Calder Trophy in 2006. As one would expect, his rookie cards are a hot commodity and will only increase in value if the Capitals can make their way to the Stanley Cup final. You can find many of his rookie cards among Upper Deck’s 2005-06 catalog of products.

Collectors can find Ovechkin’s cards among all of Upper Deck’s 2018-19 Hockey products including Trilogy, Artifacts, Series 1 & Series 2, O-Pee-Chee Platinum and many more!
