Off the Post: Blue Jackets Hold Off Flyers, Pierre-Luc Dubois Interview – On Saturday evening, the Columbus Blue Jackets held off the Philadelphia Flyers in a 4-3 win. Pierre-Luc Dubois, Center for the Blue Jackets was a big part of the win. He handed out three assists and finished the night with a +/- of +3. After the game, he had a chance to chat with Russ Cohen.

Pierre-Luc Dubois was born in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec in 1998. He began his junior career with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. They drafted him in the first round (fifth overall) of the 2014 QMJHL Entry Draft. In his rookie season for the Screaming Eagles, Dubois was the top-scoring 16-year-old in the league. He was drafted third overall by the Blue Jackets in the 2016 NHL entry draft which happened to fall on his 18th birthday. Dubois appeared in the Blue Jackets development camp as a rookie, but was eventually sent back to Cape Breton.

Dubois would make his NHL debut to start the 2017-18 NHL season. He played in 82 regular season games, and six in the playoffs. In the regular season, he finished with 48 points (20 goals, 28 assists). In the playoffs, he scored four points (two goals, two assists). Dubois scored his first career NHL hat trick on March 29th, 2018 against the Calgary Flames.
