Off the Post: Florida Staves Off Flyers, Panthers Post Game Comments – On Tuesday evening, the Florida Panthers beat the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 with their star goaltender, Roberto Luongo making 30 saves. He notched his 475th career win. Former first overall pick, Aaron Ekblad got his first goal of the season and later had to fend off his teammates trying to blow up his interview. They both spoke with Russ Cohen after the game.

Roberto Luongo, Goalie – Florida Panthers

Roberto Luongo is a Canadian born goalie who has been in the NHL since 1999. He began his career with the New York Islanders. Over his career, he has played for the Islanders, Panthers and Vancouver Canucks. Luongo is a two-time NHL Second All-Star and a winner of the William M. Jennings Trophy for backstopping his team to the lowest goals-against average in the league (2011). Luongo’s rookie cards appear in a number of products from the late 90s. Aaron Ekblad, Defenseman – Florida Panthers

Aaron Ekblad is Canadian born and was selected first overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by the Panthers. In his first NHL season, he was selected for the 2015 All-Star Game and earned the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league’s best rookie for the 2014-15 season. His rookie cards appear in Upper Deck’s entire 2014-15 catalog of products including MVP, Black Diamond and SP Authentic.
