Panini Redemption Report – July 24th, 2020 – Big Returns from the Diamond! – This week’s report from Panini America has 8 pages of redemption news! It features Baseball, Basketball and Football redemptions from products dating back to 2010.
Baseball has big news this time with Clayton Kershaw returning cards from 2019 Panini National Treasures Baseball. The Dodgers hurler returned cards from four inserts, including Treasured Materials Signatures, Treasured Materials Signatures Gold, Treasured Materials Signatures Holo Gold and Treasured Materials Signatures Holo Silver. Also returning was Alex Bregman, who fulfilled cards from 2017 Panini Chronicles Baseball and Corey Seager who also returned cards from 2019 Panini National Treasures Baseball.
Staying with the vaunted National Treasures set, a number of baseball legends fulfilled their cards from the 2019 release. Among these are recent Hall of Famers Ken Griffey Jr. and Pedro Martinez, who returned cards from seven and four inserts respectively. Also sending in National Treasures cards were Reggie Jackson, Ichiro Suzuki and Bob Gibson.
In Basketball, recent rookies came back big time with their fulfillments from 2018-19 Panini Basketball products. Among these were Landry Shamet, Kevin Huerter, Jerome Robinson and Lonnie Walker IV. Their signatures returned from 2018-19 Panini Court Kings Basketball, 2018-19 Panini Select Basketball and 2018-19 Donruss Optic Basketball. Also fulfilled were long-awaited 2010-11 Panini NBA Season Update Rookie Duals featuring Daniel Orton and Lazar Hayward.
Legends of the NBA paint came back in twos, as 2016-17 Panini Immaculate saw returns from Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton, and Grant Hill and Jerry Stackhouse among others.2018-19 Panini Immaculate Basketball, meanwhile, had dual signature returns from Dominique Wilkins and Doc Rivers and Latrell Sprewell and Sam Cassell along with other pairs.
Football saw multiple returns from Sony Michel. The New England Patriots Running Back returned cards from 2018 Playoff Contenders Football, 2018 Playoff Contenders Optic Football, 2018 Panini One Football and 2019 Panini Impeccable Football. Also fulfilling were recent rookies J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Ryan Finley, Hakeem Butler, Nick Bosa and others.
Gridion Legends were a bit more sparse this time around with fulfillments, but the big names stepped up. Top among these was John Elway who sent in cards from 2019 Panini Limited Football and 2019 Panini One Football. Also fulfilled were dual signatures of Emmitt Smith and LaDanian Tomlinson and Tiki Barber and Ronde Barber.
