Racing Future Watch: Jack Doohan F1 Cards, Alpine – Jack Doohan, the son of five-time Moto GP World Champion Mick Doohan, has fit in a lot of racing in just over two decades of life. He is poised for a future Formula One ride with Alpine. Gifted his first kart by the legendary Michael Schumacher, Doohan began racing competitively in 2012. He won the Australian Karting Championship in 2015 and 2016.
Moving up to the F4 British Championship in 2018, Doohan won three times and placed fifth for the season. Progressing to the F3 Asian Championship in 2019, Doohan won five races and earned 13 podiums, finishing second for the season. On the same circuit the next year, Doohan won five more races and took four poles and 13 podiums. That was en route to another second-place finish.
As Doohan continued to climb the ladder, he found success in the FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2021. That year he had four wins, seven podiums and a second-place finish. His team, Trident, secured the teams championship behind his win in the final race. In the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2022, three wins, three poles and six podiums paced Doohan to a sixth-place finish. Improvement came on the same circuit a year later when three wins, two poles and five podiums helped place Doohan in third for the season.
Doohan had different options open for the 2024 season, but he chose an unusual route. He took a testing and reserve spot at Alpine with an exclusive focus on Formula One. This willingness to bet on himself, combined with an impressive resume to date, marks Doohan as one of the foremost international open-wheel racers on their way up.
