Racing Future Watch: Justin Bonsignore Racing Cards, NASCAR – Justin Bonsignore is a driver who seems to embody the phrase “good things come to those who wait.” Starting in go-kart racing at age 8 in 1996, Bonsignore was running in national events by the next year. By the time he graduated to stock cars, Bonsignore amassed 18 wins on the national circuit. Additionally, he had 13 poles and 45 Top 5 finishes.
By 2005, Bonsignore moved up to the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing series and finished third in the standings as he captured the Rookie of the Year award. 2006 was the second consecutive year that Bonsignore took Rookie of the Year. This time was from the NASCAR Modified Division, fueled by three Top 5 and nine Top 10 finishes. Bonsignore’s seventh-place finish was the highest-ever for a rookie on that circuit.
The 2010 partnership with Kenneth Massa Motorsports marked the turning point of Bonsignore’s NASCAR Modified career. Trips to the Winner’s Circle ensued: once in 2011, 2012 and 2013, three times in 2014, twice in 2015, and four times in 2016. Everything was building to the big breakthrough. Bonsignore captured a series title in 2018 behind eight wins, 12 Top 5s, 15 Top 10s, and five poles. Bonsignore has finished lower than second only once since then. He finished second in 2019, first in 2020 and 2021, fourth in 2022, and second in 2023.
Bonsignore’s dominance over the past half decade-plus in NASCAR Modified is leading to additional opportunities. He will be debuting in 2024 in the ARCA Menards Series, racing for the first time at Daytona of all places. The opportunity to attain success further up the ladder is finally available for Bonsignore, who has succeeded at every level that he’s ever pursued previously.
