With over 20 years of experience, Koga continues to improve. This, even as he is regularly commuting from his native land to participate on various US circuits.

Initially becoming enamored of the sport during the NASCAR Suzuka Circuit exhibitions in 1996-97, Koga became determined to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Hideo Fukuyama, Keiichi Tsuchiya and Akihiko Nakaya. By 2001, Koga had debuted in the NASCAR Northwest Series, qualifying in five of six races.

After qualifying for races irregularly in the first part of his career and in 2016, Koga began a streak in 2017 of qualifying for the last 85 races that he has contested. Koga has also placed in the Top 10 every season dating back to 2018.

Maintaining his improvement through the COVID-19 pandemic was all the more impressive considering Koga’s mammoth traveling schedule. With 19 Top 10 finishes since 2020, Koga is somehow managing to improve with age. Koga continues to race other circuits to broaden his experience: ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West. Having learned English during his career, the personable Koga has continued to build his following on two continents. Racing fans can look forward to continued improvement from Koga in the years ahead.

Koga’s initial cards and stickers can be found in the Donruss and Panini (Chronicles and Prizm) sets in 2023. Numerous parallels and inserts are included in the product.
