Soccer Future Watch: Bernardo Silva Soccer Cards, Manchester City – Bernardo Silva, midfielder, is a vital cog on two teams: Manchester City and the Portuguese national team. Coming up through the Benfica system in his youth, Silva played for the B and senior squads, contributing to a treble for the latter. Moving to Monaco and Ligue 1 at age 19, Silva immediately made a name for himself. He had nine goals and three assists in 32 games. In 2016-17, the combination of Silva’s overall contributions to the league championship and his clutch performance in Champions League put him on the radar of Manchester City. They brought him in on a hefty transfer deal.
Silva’s winning ways would only accelerate from there. He was part of five Premier League Titles, two FA Cups, four EFL Cups, a UEFA Champions League championship, and a FIFA Club World Cup. The 2019 Alan Hardaker Trophy recipient, Silva established himself as one of the key players on one of soccer’s premier dynasties of the 21st Century.
Silva’s tenure with Portugal has also followed an upward trajectory. He debuted with the U19 team in 2019. Then he moved up to the U21 squad and eventually the senior team in 2017. Silva was named the MVP of the 2018-19 UEFA Nation’s League, contributing mightily to his country’s championship. At age 29, Silva has potential for an incredible number of big moments in his career, both in league and international play.
Silva has cards and stickers dating back to 2014. Initials are Adrenalyn XL Futebol Portugal and Panini FOOT Ligue 1 Stickers. Some of the more in-demand cards are National Treasures and Impeccable, with both memorabilia and autographs represented. Silva has been represented most prominently across several Panini sets.
