Hot in the Shop – Week of April 4th, 2016 – BIG Week!Hot in the Shop – Week of May 9th, 2016 – An Eclectic Mix – This weekend marked one of the biggest promotions in the “greater” hobby with Free Comic Book Day. This annual event is a routine success and we are excited at the prospects of Topps planned National Baseball Card Day later this summer.
This weekend also marked the 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby. This magical event always captivates the attention of people across the country. It’s been very cool seeing companies like Upper Deck incorporate equestrian themed collectibles into recent trading card sets like Goodwin Champions.
The NHL and NBA Playoffs continue and are entering crucial games that will determine who advance to each sport’s respective conference finals. Meanwhile in Major League Baseball action, the Chicago Cubs are off to a hot start and are proving they are on a mission to end their franchise’s championship drought. Several story lines continue to emerge early in the season and its been fun watching them captured on cardboard in the Topps NOW program.
This week’s new releases feature a little bit of everything. So without further adieu, here is a look at new product releases sure to be Hot in the Shop for the Week of May 9th, 2016.
