2022 NFL Draft – Players Speak: Hutchinson, Wilson, London, Williams – The 2022 NFL Draft is in the books. The first round ended up being memorable, not for what it was, but for what it was not. This was not the year for first round quarterbacks. In fact, just one was selected in the first and second rounds combined. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Kenny Pickett out of the University of Pittsburgh with the 20th overall pick.

However, skill position players weren’t entirely under-represented. The wide receiver class of 2022 is extensively deep. The first round saw six wideouts selected. Several NFL teams looked to bolster their offensive lines which saw seven linemen selected. The remaining 18 positions were ALL on the defensive side of the ball.

Russ Cohen of Sportsology covered the draft remotely* for GoGTS.net and captured commentary from four first round draft picks.

* Editor’s Note: Some of the questions are difficult to hear due to poor acoustics in the media room. We have made every effort to amplify but some have been removed entirely. However, the player audio is excellent and provides great commentary on these player’s special day.
