You might assume the answer would be the legend himself, Lionel Messi. Nope. It is young phenom Ansu Fati.
The 17-year-old striker joined the Barcelona youth ranks at the age of ten from Sevilla. Earlier this season, he made his Barca debut and had a solid start to his professional career. Fati, so far this season, has four goals and one assist in 16 appearances in La Liga. Fati set that record for youngest goalscorer in the UCL with a goal against Inter Milan. It was the game winner in a 2-1 victory in the final Group Stage match in December.
He has a very good first touch and receives the ball in excellent position, always ready to move quickly once receiving it. He is very quick and has plenty of pace. He is good spatially and makes very smart runs. His finishing is very solid as well. He has a bright future ahead of him.
Fati, who was born in Guinea-Bissau, played for the Spanish U21 side against Montenegro when he was just 16! He will have just-turned 20 when the winter 2022 World Cup takes place, but keep an eye on his future in the international game.
Collectors can find cards of Ansu Fati in 2019-20 Panini Gold Standard and Obsidian Soccer products. His only autographed card, to date, can be found in Gold Standard, However, it is very RARE, serial numbered to just 79 copies. There has not been a documented sale of one on the secondaty market in several months.
